Spiders all over

I think spiders outnumber cockroaches, crickets, and flies (Halifax). I'd give a size reference but I was scared the spider was gonna eat my hand.

Mc Nab Island

The big island between Dartmouth and Halifax.
Island Map
Even though its right in the city most of the time it felt like we left civilization behind. There are allot of ship wrecks some from the hurricane (for some strange reason I didn't take any photos of them).

How the house was 2004

This is my house, well sort of its in the process end of June it should be mine. I'm glad it didn't become a bidding war, since there were 3 almost 4 offers on the table. These photos are from 2004 (how it looked for previous owners when they bought it).
For current pics scroll down to: House on the hill or click me.

House on hill (Halifax)

I actually made an offer on this house, I dont expect to get it since there are a few other people making offers too. The basement has been dug out, and left only 1/2 finished, to fix that it would probably cost around $5000 to $8000. That would include a cement floor and cement walls. Other then that the house looks good. There are 2 chimmeny's one is closed off (u can see a ceiling photo with some patch work). There used to be a wood stove but it was taken out. central heating is in the basement.

Funny Joke

Funny joke I ran into from this site

A polar bear asks his Mother, ‘Mom, am I a real polar bear?”
“Yes darling, of course you are.” his mother answered.
“Are you SURE I’m a polar bear?”
“Yes dear,” his mother replied, “You are. I am, you sister is, you’re father is, we’re all polar bears.”
“Are you POSITIVE?”
“Yes, yes, for the last time, you’re a polar bear! Why do you keep asking?”
“‘Cause I’m fucking freezing!”

Why I fired my secretary

Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up that morning. I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say, "Happy birthday!", and possibly have a present for me.

As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone "Happy birthday".

I thought... well, that's marriage for you, but the kids will remember. My kids ate breakfast and didn't say a word.

So when I left for the office, I was feeling pretty low and somewhat despondent.

As I walked into my office, my secretary, Jane said, "Good morning boss, happy birthday!" It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.

I worked until one o'clock and then Jane knocked on my door and said, "You know, it's such a beautiful day outside, and it's your birthday, let's go out to lunch, just you and me".

I said, "Thanks Jane, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!"

We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go. We dined instead at a little place with a private table. We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.

On the way back to the office, Jane said, "You know, it's such a beautiful day... We don't need to go back to the office, do we?"

I responded, "I guess not. What do you have in mind?"

She said, "Let's go to my apartment".

After arriving at her apartment Jane turned to me and said, "Boss, if you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for a moment. I'll be right back".

"OK", I nervously replied.

She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake... followed by my wife, kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing "Happy Birthday".

And I just sat there...

On the couch...

Naked...

Pets DownUnder

New Zealand Waimate, wallaby sanctuary
They are a big pest there.

New Zealand close to pirate bay
this was a very cool unexpected find.

Australia Brisbane, Koala Sanctuary
They do not get stoned, they are just chilled.

First day Halifax

My hostel is close to here, not the nicest part of town.

I like these buildings, gives Halifax some uniqueness

Some communist looking apartments for rent.

If you look closer that's one really old raggedy ship, u can see lots of navy ships around.

I like these old buildings, I don't like how the newer buildings pollute the sky line.

A happy tour boat.

Card Games to remember

Not well documented just so I dont forget them, ill add more later

Gemsh
4 Players: Played in pairs, get 4 of a kind send secret signal to opponent, opponent has to detect the signal and yell out "Gemsh".

Hello to the Queen
unlimited Players:  stack of cards for all, count up to 10 as each person discards a card if count is same as card number last person to slap the pile has to take the pile.  For face cards: Jack stand at attention, Queen make prayer sign with hands and say "hello to the queen", King salut, Ace hands up and wiggeling screeming "lulululu"

Speed
2-6Players: Solitaire, discard cards up or down suite doesn't matter and there should be same amount of piles as players, when finished quickly pick smallest pile.

Drinking Game
unlimited Players:  Pile of cards in middle, pick card, if its number and has not been picked up yet it gets placed by that player and he/she has to drink and has to drink every time that card number comes up.  Jack rule, Queen subject (car- Mercedes, Ferrari ), King(not sure make something up), Ace everyone drinks

Asshole
3 n up Players:  You try to get rid of your cards first.  joker beats all, 2 highest then Ace all the way down to 3 (3 lowest card).  suits do not matter only numbers, pair them up.  first round 3 of clubs goes first.  If single card is thrown u have to follow with single card (or u can pass), if double u throw double, same with triple and quad,  but the value has to be higher than what was thrown before u.
2's can be thrown on a pair, or two 2's can be thrown on triple.
Joker can be thrown on all.
You try to win the hand so u can lead off (who ever wins round, starts next round)
Always try to get rid of low cards first.
Looser is the asshole, first one out is the president, pres gives worst card to ass while ass gives best card, then he starts the next game.

Version of Hearts

Finger Trick
hold both of your index fingers infront of you horizontal about 5cm apart.
try to do circular motion one going backwards one forwards.

We will Rock you
Everybody creates there own sign.
Clapp table 2 times then clap hands once to the rythm of "we will rock you"
2 times then game begins
this time when you clap your hands make your sign
then clap table 2 times
then someone elses sign
whoever sign you choose that person has to continue
first his sign then someone elses.
if your sign isnt choosen keep you just keep the rythm going.
if you mess up, you drink up
speed the game up for difficulty

Other games i forgot the rules too
Kings in the corner, Spite and Malice

Whistler BC Ski trip

3 days of Whistler BC, with Serge, David and me. I missed a few days where Serge and David went Helli skiing which I want to do really really badly it looked like allot of fun.  We did have 3 good days though, although some icy patches gave me the shivers of fear.  After the second day my muscles were very sore, we went to the bar later on and savoured our pain with tequila and Zombie's.
